KFRPD is committed to having a community that is trained in CPR/AED/First Aid and equipped to handle a sudden cardiac arrest situation, which can be the difference between surviving or not. Our Community Training program focus on ways to grow the readiness in our community to handle a cardiac arrest episode and maybe save the life of someone that you know.
Public Access Defibrillation (PAD) programs increase access to CPR training and place Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) throughout a community. That way, if emergency responders can’t get to the scene quickly enough, bystanders have access to lifesaving equipment.
Our First Aid course trains participants first aid basics for the most common first aid emergencies, including how to recognize them, how to call for help, and how to perform lifesaving skills.
All courses reflect science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) and the 2020 AHA/Red Cross Guidelines for First Aid.
